Race Information

Event Details

• Saturday, July 12, 2008
• Events start at 8:00am
• 10k Competitive Trail Run, 4k Noncompetitive Trail Walk-Jog
• 10k competitive trail race is one of the featured trail races of the Central Illinois Trail Race Alliance (CITRA)
• Well marked run and walk - held on the beautiful trails of Jubilee College State Park (JCSP) – Quail Meadow Pavilion
• JCSP is located off of Route 150, 4 miles west of Kickapoo. Quail Meadow Pavilion is across from the Park Office
• All event proceeds will be donated to Peoria Promise - visit the Proceeds/Donations section of our website for more information

Registration

• Or, register by mail using the attached registration form. Must be received by July 10, 2008
• Entry fee is $20.00 per event
• Special entry fee for IVS Members - $17.00 - Members Only!
• Race day registration is available, which will run from 6:45am – 7:45am
• Packet pick for pre-registers up will be from 6:45am – 7:45am on race day

Entry fee includes

• Participation in either the run or walk
• Event T-Shirt
• Entry into the post-race Swamp Dog Raffle
• Post-race food and drinks
• Awards for 10k Trail Run

10k Competitive Trail Race

• Will run on the beautiful trails of Jubilee College State Park
• Start and finish at Quail Meadow Pavilion
• Rolling hills, Creek crossings
• Other details will be announced race day
• 4k Trail Walk-Jog course will offer easier trails and no creek crossings

Awards

• The Swamp Dog Award will be awarded to the first overall male and female who crosses the line first in the 10k Trail Run
• The top 3 winners in each male/female age group will also be awarded
• All participants in both events will be entered into the Swamp Dog Raffle

Age Divisions (10k Competitive Trail Run only)

• 18 & under                   40 – 49
• 19 – 29                        50 – 59
• 30 – 39                        60 & up

Post Race Party

• Located at Quail Meadow Pavilion
• Includes great food, drinks, and music
• Swamp Dog Raffle – all participants will be automatically entered to win gear, gift certificates, and more!
• Awards Presentation

Rain or Shine

• Enjoy a Summer Saturday morning of the best Trail Running & Hiking

Illinois Valley Striders

• Timing of the 10k competitive trail run and finish line will be run and set up by the Illinois Valley Striders

Will not be able to make the event, but still interested in it?

• If you are interested in supporting our event/cause and you will not be able to attend the event, please still consider to sign up for the event - you will be sent an Event T-Shirt and you will be donating to a great cause!
